Performing Arts

In 2016, students will be involved in the Performing Arts program in Semester 2 (Terms 3 and 4).The classroom music and performing arts program encourages participation and sharing experiences by allowing students freely express themselves through discovery who they are, how their body moves and how their voice works. It allows children to be imaginative, builds their coordination and spatial skills and assists children with concepts of rhythm and beat.

All students share the experience of singing, dancing, movement, drama, dance and musical games. Students are also given the opportunity to perform regularly at school and to the community, and at a celebration concert at the end of the year.

To appreciate and understand different forms of expression in the Performing Arts, students will be invited to view many performances by special guests and visitors throughout the year
