The Walking School Bus concept is a simple idea, making walking safe and fun. Students walk to and from school under the supervision of parent/ grandparent volunteers(as drivers and conductors) along set routes.
Parents and children meet the 'bus' at the designated stops in the morning and collect their children from the same point after school. All volunteers in the program have been screened & trained by the Moreland City Council.
