Homework Club is held at the school on Thursday afternoons from 3:15pm until 4:00pm for students from Grade 3 to 6. Students attending will need a permission form, which can be collected from the Office. They will be supervised by a member of teaching staff, who can also provide assistance in the concepts addressed in home learning tasks. Please download and fil out the permission note.
At Glenroy West Primary School, we provide a variety of clubs selected by the students. All clubs are an inclusive opportunity to students from Foundation – Year 6 to further develop their skills
Term 2 Clubs:
Minecraft- developing skills such as creativity, problem-solving and mathematical thinking. Accessible for years 3-6 students.
Sport/ Cross Country Training- developing and preparing student for SSV competitions and inter-school Sports.
Book Club- developing a love for literature in a nurturing environment. As a group, students select which book interests them and come together to learn and discuss what has been read.
Art Club- an opportunity for students express themselves. Accessible for Foundation-2.
Dance Club- an opportunity for students to express themselves through movement and enjoy a fun activity with friends.
Maths Olympiad - Years 3-6, students have shown a commitment and motivation towards numeracy and problem solving to represent Glenroy West Primary School at the Australian Problem Solving Mathematical Olympiad. The APSMO organises this event annually, which provides students with the opportunity to compete in a national Problem-Solving Competition.
